Patient Transport Demonstration at St Thomas’
On 21st June 2008, Transport for All organised a demonstration outside Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital to protest about the unfairness of their Patient Transport Scheme.
We had a number of serious complaints regarding the scheme. These included disabled and older patients being turned down patient transport if the PTS dept found out they had a Taxicard. This is despite the fact that the Taxicard is a vital service used by those who cannot access mainstream transport to have a semblance of a social life.

Transport for All Campaign - Please support Disabled Asylum seeker to retain his freedom pass.
Dear Friends,
Youcef Bey-Zekkoub, a wheelchair user from Lambeth, is campaigning with Transport for All and Win Visible after being denied a replacement Freedom Pass by Lambeth Social Services.
They say he is an asylum seeker and therefore not entitled to one.
This is wrong – there is no immigration test for the Freedom Pass. (This has been confirmed by Solicitors Pierce Glynn)
